I was going through old photos tonight and came across a few from our latest Vegas trip (Christmas, 2016).
We were visiting my parents, who took Tricia and me to see Michael Jackson ONE by Cirque Du Soleil, but not before we stopped at Amore Taste of Chicago for the pizza fix. We split three between the four of us:
- Sausage + half mushroom, thin
- Green pepper and onion, thin
- Mushroom, pan
I tell you what. I’m a Chicago native and I’ve been unable to go more than a week without pizza since I came out screaming, and this place is the joint.
The za is crispy, not greasy, and the cheese stays on it when you take a bite – the true test. If you bite into a slice and the cheese slides off, you’re dealing with an amateur.
I’ve had this square-cut pie many times. The sausage has the perfect amount of fennel. Green peppers are just right: a little snappy; the mushrooms cooked to perfection.
If you’re in suburban LV and looking for a real taste of Chicago, hit up Amore’s. They have solid sandwiches too and inexpensive wine.
Tell ’em Kevin sent you!
